This site is operated by Tyson Walker, REALTOR® with Grand Realty & Management Ltd. This page explains what personal information is collected here, why, and what your rights are under Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What I collect

When you use the contact form on this site, I collect your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), and whatever message you send. I don’t collect personal information anywhere else on this site.

Why I collect it

Only to respond to you and help with what you’re asking about: buying, selling, or a general question about the Foothills real estate market. I don’t use it for anything else, and I don’t sell or rent it to anyone.

Consent

Submitting the contact form is voluntary, and doing so is treated as your consent to be contacted back about your enquiry. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing or calling me and asking me to stop. See the consequences of that below.

If you withdraw consent, I’ll stop using your information, though I may not be able to follow up on an enquiry already in progress.

Service providers outside Canada

Some of the tools I use to run this site and follow up with enquiries are operated by companies based outside Canada, primarily in the United States. That means information you submit may be processed on servers located there, where it could be subject to that country’s laws. I only use these tools for the purposes described on this page, never to sell your information.

How long I keep it

Only as long as I reasonably need it for the purpose you gave it to me: generally, for the life of our conversation or transaction, plus a reasonable time afterward for my own records. After that, it’s deleted or de-identified.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or system can guarantee perfect security. If a breach of this site’s data were ever to create a real risk of significant harm to you, Alberta law requires me to report it to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Cookies

This site uses only the standard technical cookies WordPress needs to run (for example, keeping me logged in to manage the site). It does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Your rights

Under PIPA, you can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct it if it’s wrong. To make a request, or if you have any question about how your information is collected, used, or handled on this site, contact:
